“He will have the last laugh” – A lot of Leeds fans are confident Patrick Bamford can improve on last season and score some more goals.
Bamford had a season to forget because he only scored nine goals for the Whites – and was also handed a retrospective ban for getting Anwar El Ghazi sent off.
The incident occurred in a fiery 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at Elland Road – which led to him missing the first leg of the play-off semi-final against Derby County.
Bamford though regrets that incident and wants to move on from it and have a positive season this year with Leeds – as they look to gain promotion.
The 25-year-old will also be seeking to hit the heights of the 2014/15 season where he scored 17 goals for Middlesbough.
It is this sort of form that has so far deserted him at Leeds, and he will be hoping for a chance this season to show that he can be a consistent Championship goalscorer.
Many Leeds fans certainly think he is capable.

Remember the start of the season last year with fans slamming Roofe saying he wasn’t good enough. Bamford is a quality striker in the Championship and he will have the last laugh at doubters. #LUFC pic.twitter.com/55CQ6Tehip
