Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been criticising Arijanet Muric after their 2-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening.
Muric was brought in this summer on loan from Manchester City, and he is seemingly Sabri Labouchi’s first-choice between the sticks as he started ahead of Costel Pantilimon in the curtain-raiser.
The Kosovan had a lacklustre debut. He made two errors that directly led to goals, and his mistakes cost his new team the match.
The equalising goal from Kyle Edwards went slipped through his fingers, and he was also beaten by a fluky cross-cum-shot as he misjudged the flight of the ball.
All in all, it has to be said that his debut was less than satisfactory and fans certainly agreed that he wasn’t good enough.
Losing the opening game of the season often instils a sense of pessimism amongst supporters and some fans were quick to write off their new man.
Muric is not class he’s not good enough

Other members of the fanbase called for the return of Pantilimon to the starting XI. The Romanian was Forest’s first choice last term as he started 44 league games for the East Midlands outfit.

Some took this as an opportunity to criticise the higher-ups at the City Ground as they seemingly weren’t happy with the decision to bring in a new keeper.
We didn’t need him. He was awful yesterday and not much better pre season. Won’t give the defenders confidence and cost us points. There were no positives from his performance yesterday.

Makes me wonder if anybody from Forest actually watched him play before signing him
