Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been speculating as to why Sabri Lamouchi was at Molineux watching Wolves vs Manchester United on Monday night.
Match of the Day posted an image on Twitter showing that England manager Gareth Southgate was in attendance for the Premier League clash, but some eagle-eyed supporters spotted Lamouchi sat directly behind the England boss.
With Wolverhampton being 60 miles away from Nottingham and the game being shown live on Sky it’s hard to believe that the Tunisian was there just as a spectator.
Therefore, the burning question is why was Lamouchi at this game?
We’ve seen instances of Forest managers scouting potential transfer targets before as Martin O’Neill was snapped at a Kosovo game just before the Reds signed Arijanet Muric.
Fans have speculated that his presence at Molineux could have something to do with the two club’s links to Jorge Mendes.
Wolves, of course, have signed a number of his clients over the past couple of years including the likes of Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves. Meanwhile, Forest have also had a helping hand from the agent as they have brought in the likes of Joao Carvalho and Gil Dias.
Forest have done business with Wolves recently – loaning Rafa Mir from their Midlands rivals, so it may seem that another deal could be in the pipeline sometime in the future.
Might be there due to the Mendes link

One fan claimed that Lamouchi was simply scouting next season’s opponents as the Reds look to fulfil their Premier League ambitions.
This fella is that far in advance on his scouting, he’s already looking at next seasons opponents

Other sections of the fanbase joked that Marcus Rashford could be on the East Midlands club’s radar.
