Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have been talking about one man after they picked up their first win under Sabri Lamouchi.

Forest beat Fleetwood 1-0 in the first round of the Carabao Cup, and it was Tiago Silva who grabbed all of the headlines with his winning goal.

The attacking midfielder joined Forest this summer from Portuguese outfit Feirense.

He has started both of the Reds’ league games so far this season, and he managed to grab his first goal for the club on Tuesday evening.

The 26-year-old has gotten off to a bit of a slow start in the Championship as his average WhoScored rating in that competition stands at just 6.51, but he came into his own against Fleetwood in midweek, and many fans have been quick to say how impressed they were by him.

One supporter described his performance as sublime, while another said that he’s getting better with every minute he plays.

Of course, the main talking point amongst most fans was Silva’s goal. He rifled the ball into the goal from close range after beating a man in the penalty area, and his strike seemingly wowed a number of fans.

One supporter had a differing opinion stating that the 26-year-old was ineffective apart from his goal. That opinion was quickly shot down though as another Twitter user came to his defence.
