Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter are divided in their opinions after Aitor Karanka was linked with the vacant Huddersfield Town post.
The Terriers sacked Jan Siewert just three games into the new season after their 2-1 defeat at home against Fulham.
The Spaniard has been out of work since he left the Reds last season, but now it seems as if he has a route back into management.
He’s been a successful boss at this level before. He got Middlesbrough promoted in 2015, and when he departed Forest they were only a few points off of the playoffs.
Reds supporters still have great memories of their time under Karanka. They were full of praise for their former boss when he left, and some fans don’t want to see him manage another Championship club.
One fan stated that they would be devastated to see him in an opposition dugout, while another said that it’s not easy to hear that he’s getting a new job.
Karanka linked with the Huddersfield job. Always knew this would happen but doesn’t make it any less easy to hear 🙁 #nffc

One supporter said that this appointment could be a good thing stating that he may want to buy some of the deadwood at Forest.
Good news, probably buy half our bomb squad ????????????

Other fans weren’t bothered about their former boss getting another job. They said that he would just throw his toys out of the pram after he asked to leave Forest in January.
He will just throw his toys out his pram there too

He’ll sign 1001 players. When they don’t let him have 1002 the toys will come out the pram.

Another fan seemingly didn’t rate Karanka at all as he fears for Huddersfield’s future if they appoint the former Boro boss.
God help them.
