Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter are divided after reports surfaced stating that they are in talks with Arsenal to sign Carl Jenkinson.
Jenkinson has previously played in the Championship out on loan at Birmingham City, but judging by the way their supporters have been speaking about him he didn’t have the best of times.
The right-back made his Arsenal debut eight years ago, but he has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Emirates as he has made just 70 appearances during his time at the club.
Forest certainly need a right-back. Tendayi Darikwa has a long-term injury meaning that they’ve had to play Matty Cash in that role.
Jenkinson has shown signs of being a decent player though, and a decent run of form back in 2012 saw him earn an England cap.
Bringing in a player from a club as big as Arsenal is bound to get supporters excited, and this instance is no different.
Some supporters are over the moon with the potential arrival stating that the defender could be a great signing.
Would be a great signing

Would be an outstanding signing

Other supporters weren’t as overjoyed. Some recognised that he could do a job for Forest, but they weren’t willing to label him as anything other than a decent signing.
Decent signing if we can get him.

He’d be decent signing

A couple of supporters aren’t happy with the prospect of signing Jenkinson, stating that they’d rather see 18-year-old Jaydon Richardson handed a first-team opportunity.
Would be an uninspiring waste of money. Rather see Richardson.

Don’t rate him. Would rather Richardson given a chance
