Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have had mixed reactions to the news that their Carabao Cup fixture against Derby County won’t be televised.
Instead, the two games that have been chosen for coverage on Sky Sports were Newport against West Ham and Lincoln against Everton.
With Forest and Derby having such a long and storied rivalry this match is likely to be one of the most interesting affairs in the competition, but for some reason, it hasn’t been chosen for TV coverage.
Some supporters aren’t happy with Sky Sports’ choice to leave them off the billing. One fan asked if the announcement was a joke, while another couldn’t believe the calibre of fixtures that have been chosen ahead of them.
Is this some sort of joke? ???? #NFFC #DCFC https://t.co/bdfahGby8y

There were certain sections of the fanbase that were on the other side of the fence. A number of supporters couldn’t understand the outrage. One stated that true supporters would make the trip to the City Ground, while another stated that the games between Premier League sides and lower-division outfits are more suited to television.
I think it’s the armchair critics that are annoyed, a lot of ‘fans’ are t.v fans only, the majority of true forest fans will be at the game.
