Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter are baffled by reports linking them with a move to sign Derby County goalkeeper Scott Carson.
Football Insider claim that the Reds want to bring in the 33-year-old stopper from their rivals.
The East Midlands outfit are seemingly still in the market for a goalkeeper as they have also been pursuing a move for Caen goalie Brice Samba.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side have been very busy during this window as they’ve brought in no fewer than nine players already, and it seems that Carson could be the tenth.
The fanbase don’t quite understand why the club are in for the former England international, and you can understand why.
Forest already have four goalkeepers on their books who are more than capable of playing at Championship level, so bringing in a fifth stopper seemingly makes very little sense.
Why the panic to buy another keeper tails? Nobody else seems to understand either

We already have 3 keepers good enough, with smith also a s a backup. Other areas need attention more, i.e. strikers.
Way too many keepers, CB’s and midfielders.— bosstrade (@bosstrade) August 7, 2019

Despite not wanting another keeper to sign, Forest supporters do wish to see further signings. Many took this as an opportunity to bemoan the men behind the transfers, claiming that the club need to add another striker to their ranks.
A decent striker to partner Grabban please

Some supporters clearly don’t rate Carson either, somewhat jokingly stating that the club could be relegated if they opt to sign the Derby stopper.
