“One of our own” – A lot of Gers fans are pleased to see Scott Arfield continue his good performances from last season.

Arfield scored Rangers’ first goal of the SPFL season in a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock.

His goal came from a corner that James Tavernier swung onto Nikola Katic’s head – his header was parried by Laurentiu Branescu but only as far as Arfield who stabbed home.

The former Burnley man scored ten goals last season and was a significant player for Steven Gerrard’s side – and it looks like he will have an equally important role this year.

These Rangers fans are buzzing that Arfield opened his account for the season.

A lot of Rangers fans responded with some GIF’s of saluting – this has become Arfield’s signature celebration since he joined the Ibrox-based side, and many fans have reacted well to this.

Other Rangers fans have just expressed their love for Arfield – since signing for Rangers, the 30-year-old has fully embraced the passion of the club and is now a fan-favourite.
