Last night’s 4-0 win in Gibraltar against St. Joseph’s has got Rangers fans very excited for the coming season under Steven Gerrard.

Second-half goals from Ryan Jack, Sheyi Ojo, Connor Goldson (although Borna Barisic will have something to say to the UEFA Dubious Goals Committee) and Alfredo Morelos were enough for Gerrard’s men to ease past Gibraltans St. Joseph’s. Gerrard’s men were fantastic, particularly in the second half, as they eased their way past St. Joseph’s and look to prepare for the next round of Europa League qualification, even with the St. Joseph’s return leg to come next week at Ibrox.

Rangers will face either of Cork City from Ireland or old foes Progres Niederkorn of Luxemburg should they go through. Progres knocked Rangers out of the Europa League the season before last so The Gers will be looking to exact some revenge if the two sides meet again. It’s safe to say Gerrard has transformed the club since he’s come in and you’d expect a similar result to last night if Gerrard’s men were to meet Progres in the next round. Rangers hardly put a foot wrong last night and could’ve easily added to the four they scored and if they can continue that sort of form across the season then the supporters will be in for one incredible year.
