“Shambles” – A lot of Tottenham fans cannot believe how bad they were against Newcastle – as the Toon came away with their first win of the season.
Newcastle arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with two defeats from their opening two games, but they turned in a resolute display to snatch a 1-0 win thanks to Joelinton’s first goal for the club.
Spurs were dreadful – as despite having 80% possession they only managed two shots on target, and Martin Dubravka had a rather comfortable afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino decided not to play Christian Eriksen or Jan Vertonghen, and a well-drilled Newcastle side punished them.
These Spurs fans are fuming at the result.

We fancied ourselves as title contenders this year. That dream ends today. A terrible performance all around. A lack of clarity regarding Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen overshadowing the game. Pathetic display

Poch needs to open up his damn eyes!
Dropping Vertonghen and Eriksen and you will 100% get results like today
Poch needs to grow a pair and be a bigger man and do what’s BEST for the club and not what his personal belief is
Drop your best players and you WILL lose games

Poch‘s fault. Stubborn decisions from Poch cost us this game. Shambles.

Many Tottenham fans are angry at Pochettino and believe he needs to start playing Eriksen and Vertonghen.

POCH OUT

Others have claimed they want Pochettino out. This could be because of his decision to not play Eriksen and Vertonghen but it seems many fans are getting fed up with a poor run of results.
Disgusting
