After a summer spending spree of over £130m that saw 13 new players arrive at the club, optimism is understandably high at Aston Villa, particularly after the latest reports that owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are set to inject £100m into the club.
Sawiris and Edens, who took over the club after an ambitious promotion plan from former owner Tony Xia backfired, had heavily backed manager Dean Smith in the summer transfer window following promotion to the Premier League after a three-year absence.
The latest reports suggest that the ownership duo are keen to ensure Villa can establish themselves in the top-flight, and the reported £100m of investment has got some fans questioning whether this is figure relates to transfers or operational infrastructure such as stadium improvements.
Check out some of the best reactions to the latest reports on Villa’s owners below.

It’s not our transfer budget, it’s money they are putting in personally.

Its good to have owners who plan and think about the future well being of the club. This will hopefully be spent on stadium improvements.
