It was announced today that Marcus Rashford has signed a new and improved contract at Manchester United worth a reported £250k a week. This is the latest in a string of contract renewals at the Red Devils this summer including Phil Jones, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial. The news has angered many United fans who feel as if his performances do not warrant £250k a week, and believe it adds pressure for the 21-year-old to perform.
Many United fans believe the young English striker is not worth the big money and his performances have taken a dip since being handed the number 10 shirt. Some United fans also believe it is a distraction from the lack of signings at Old Trafford this summer, with the only signings being Welsh winger Daniel James and English U21 international Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Rashford’s rise at United has been nothing short of phenomenal, since his magical debut against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League to scoring a double against Arsenal in his Premier League debut. The 21-year-old had some United fans excited about his future as he is a local lad, however with the new contract and inflated wages it seems many United fans aren’t too pleased with the decision.

Think it’s between 250-300k. Mad but that’s Manchester United for you right now.

Sad…real sad. Thought the club was obsessed with fixing the wage structure.

Marcus Rashford’s new 200k a week contract is 20k a week more than Football Writers Player of the year Raheem Sterling gets. It’s also 20k a week more than Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane’s combined salery of 90k a week each. Lesson. United pay stupid wages
