Rangers have allowed 22-year-old tough-tackling midfielder Jordan Rossiter to leave the club on loan, with the former Liverpool man linking up with Fleetwood Town and ex Ger Joey Barton.
Rossiter’s time at Ibrox has been blighted by injuries and as a result has made less than 20 appearances for Rangers since joining from hometown club Liverpool in 2016. Rossiter will be hoping to get a consistent run of games to show the sort of player he is to Steven Gerrard in League One, in the same way Greg Docherty did whilst at Shrewsbury last season.

Rossiter had just returned from a fairly decent spell at Bury in League Two where, for the first time in his professional career, he was able to put a run of games together injury-free. The 22-year-old has suffered from persistent and severe calf injuries since moving North to Scotland but he will be hoping those dark days are behind him as looks to rebuild a promising career. Staying at Ibrox looked unlikely this summer given the competition for places in Gerrard’s squad so it’s good that the England U19 international has found a club early into the window.
These Rangers fans are glad he’ll get the chance to play regular football and are hoping he comes back similarly revitalised as Docherty did this summer after a good loan spell away from Ibrox.
Just a pitty about his injuries cause he is a cracking player

Hopefully he does brilliant like Bury and earn himself a new deal with us. If he stays fit I think he could be excellent. Absolutely loved what I seen when fit.

Smart loan move, puts him in the shop window at least

Hopefully just a loan to keep up his playing development and comes back as there is massive potential in him ????

Good luck to the lad as he obviously has talent. Why do we loan players to such lower leagues though? I would loan him to an SPL club for a season.

There is class in that boy, proper class. Injury has plagued him unfortunately. Really hope a loan spell will do him good, would love to see him fully fit displaying the class I’ve seen flashes of
