Life as an injured footballer can be hell. These players are stripped of their livelihoods for weeks or months as they desperately attempt to recover as soon as possible.

It can be a lonely life as well. They’re often removed from the first-team and forced to train alone or in a separate group in order to aid the healing process.

In a sign of solidarity, four injured Chelsea stars posted the same image of the quartet on exercise bikes attempting to get back to full fitness.

Reece James, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marko Van Ginkel and Jamal Blackman have all be struggling for fitness, but luckily they have a supportive group of players around them to help them get through the tough recovery period.
