Everton continued their strong start to the season on Sunday after a 3-2 win against Wolves at Goodison Park, and now the club has released some behind the scenes footage during the half time interval.
The Toffees’ were 2-1 up at the break after Richarlison and Alex Iwobi got the ball rolling for the home side with two goals respectively, and the Everton players knew that they were in for a big test in the second half in order to take away all three points from the game.

The footage shows the players returning to the pitch for the start of the second half, and Colombian defender Yerry Mina stood at the bottom of the stairs and proceeded to repeatedly slap his face in an attempt to motivate himself and prepare his mindset before heading out onto the field of play.
The move went down really well with the fans, with one supporter describing Mina as “our new rock“, and another hoping that he keeps his form up until the end of the season as he has been brilliant so far.
These are the best of the Everton fans’ reactions:

Yerry?….. I wish I shared your optimism mate.
I’m hoping to see him improve ten-fold.
Stay focussed, stay on his feet, no rash challenges, no holding, etc etc.— Dale Tomaselli (@DrTomaselli) September 3, 2019
