“Thought it would be much worse” – A lot of Tottenham fans are relieved that Juan Foyth’s injury is not as bad as first feared.
Foyth went off in the match against Bayern Munich, and the initial thoughts were that it would be a bad injury – but the club have confirmed that the 21-year-old will only miss a month and should be back in training by September.
The Argentine would have missed the first two games anyway because he was sent off in Spurs’ final away game of last season against Bournemouth.
This means that for the opener on Saturday against Aston Villa Mauricio Pochettino will probably have to use Kyle Walker-Peters – with Serge Aurier having just returned to pre-season training.
For now, though, these Spurs fans are just delighted that Foyth’s injury is not long-term.

Shorter than expected, but still have to feel for Foyth after he postponed his honeymoon to establish himself in the starting lineup. Have to hope he comes back strong as we look a tad short at right-back to say the least. Time for Aurier/KWP to show what they’re made of!

Many Tottenham fans were expecting the Argentine to be out for a lot longer – so the fact he will only miss a month has gone down well with a lot of Spurs fans.

Others, however, have used the injury to ask Daniel Levy to sign a right-back – as they feel a bit short with only Walker-Peters currently available.
