Matt Wilson, of the Express and Star, reported that the Baggies have agreed a fee with Cardiff City for Danish striker Kenneth Zohore. The fee is rumoured to total £8m with the add-ons included.

West Brom are in need of reinforcements this summer with the only signing so far this window being Filip Krovinovic from Benfica, while ten players have left the club. The most notable pair that have left the Hawthorns are the two top goal-scorers, Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez.

The lack of transfer activity has even caused new manager Slaven Bilic to publicly urge the board to get a move on and sign players.

One Baggies fan thought the fee for a one-goal-a-season striker is questionable and he’s not wrong. Zohore only managed one goal and one assist in 19 appearances for Cardiff as they were relegated from the Premier League. However his form in the Championship could give some West Brom fans hope, as he has managed 31 goal contributions in his last two years in the division.

Many Albion fans are disappointed with the signing, believing that the club should be looking to sign Dwight Gayle permanently after his loan spell.

Here is the best of the reaction.
