Nuno Espirito Santo has recently admitted that Wolves are looking to do “a bunch of business” this summer, and yet recent reports suggest that Ajax have agreed terms with one of the Black Country club’s main targets Edson Alvarez.
Wolves are yet to sign any new players this summer apart from making striker Raul Jimenez and midfielder Leander Dendoncker’s loan moves permanent. The lack of signings at Molineux has incensed many Wolves fans who believe the club should be reinforcing with the club entering European competition next season. Some other Wolves fans believe that the fanbase has got ahead of themselves this summer by being angry at not securing top signings.
Here is the best of the reaction.
According the several sources in Mexico, Ajax have reached a verbal agreement with Club America for Wolves target Edson Alvarez, for just over 15 million euros.#WWFC #TalkingWolves pic.twitter.com/4Ge1lbdbr3

Champions league football at ajax u numpties… We are wolves, in europa league… Anyone who thinks signing for a club in the semis last year is lack of ambition is clearly showing how little they know of our current level and football

Most fans had never heard of Alvarez /Joelinton before the pressers chucked our name in the pot. Now we’re showing “lack of ambition” by not signing them up on unwarranted fees. 12mths ago we paid £18m for Adama & fans quickly turned on him because he’s not Messi.

Stay calm I am certain there are things happening in the background. In recent years signings have come out of the blue, we don’t tell everyone our business and I’m sure that’s the case now

Shows lack of ambition on his part Imo! Thought he wanted maximum worldwide exposure to boost his profile? Surely Prem league would give that??!!

Have we really been after him?? Was he our no.1 target??
Konsa was signing too remember, and im 99% certain we were never interested.
