Liverpool midfielder Ryan Kent secured a permanent move to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on Tuesday, with a fee rumoured to be around £7m.

The youngster spent last season wearing the blue shirt of Glasgow and made a remarkable impression across the border in Scotland, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 23 appearances in the Scottish Premiership. His performances encouraged Gerrard to try and make the move permanent for Kent which he succeeded late Monday night before the transfer deadline.

Liverpool fans have responded saying that the move was probably for the best, due to the sheer amount of quality that the Reds currently possess in Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

One fan was frustrated at Kent’s departure, and said that it was another talent that has slipped through the net at Liverpool that they haven’t been able to keep. He added that it’s becoming the norm these days that the Reds cannot seem to get a grasp of their youngsters.

Another supporter was pleased for Kent, and said that the Englishman has a bright future at the club and under the watchful eye of Steven Gerrard.

Here are some of the best reaction from Liverpool fans:
